Since day 1, I’ve maintained the philosophy that your reputation is everything. If you don’t uphold a positive one, quite frankly, you’re toast. I sell screen-printed and embroidered apparel, i.e. screen printed t-shirts, both short sleeve and long sleeve, screen printed hoodies, which includes crew neck, pull over and full zip, silk screened tote bags, as well as embroidered polos (Dri-FIT included), embroidered oxfords, embroidered hats and caps as well as embroidered aprons, all of which are highly demanded items. And if I’m selling something that is highly demanded, a positive reputation must accompany that product and service, which in the case of Simple Shirts, it does.
You might be wondering where the name “Simple Shirts” comes from. The name makes no pretensions whatsoever and that’s how my grandma intended it. Back in 1990, my parents started “Simple Signs” out of their home, which I grew up witnessing flourish from humble beginnings to evolving into a full-fledged sign shop, which is still in operation to this day. But my grandma, Margie Baker thought up the ingenious name, “Simple Signs”.
My grandma passed away in 2007, 1 year prior to starting “Simple Shirts.” I’m very much close to my family and I wanted to retain that family heritage as part of my company to never be forgotten.
Shirts are a highly demanded product. Most would agree that we are operating in a saturated industry where competitors come and go non-stop and it's become a cycle of price-slashing and ultimately only the strong survive.
